This a tag I actually read on my Sister's blog over at Queen Ginge (go and check her out!) and I found some of her answers rather hilarious so I thought I'd give it a go!
I promise I won't steal and/or switch my answers around though this could become very strange, very quickly.

So that's all of the questions! I'm actually a tiny bit upset that there isn't more to be answered because this is probably the most enjoyable blog post I've ever completed. I have been laughing at my "Chocolate" answer for around 10 minutes and I couldn't believe it when I got FOUR Commitments songs in a row. I think I have a problem.

Now you've read this post, why don't you give it a go yourself?! I promise it's more amusing than you'd think. Leave your answers below! :)

Hair Update!

Hey everyone! I thought that now was the right time to give you an update on my current hair colour.
Over the past few days my hair was all I could think about, literally - I've been hair crazy! There's only so much a girl can take when she hates her hair. It was like having bad hair days constantly for the amount of time that I had it and if you're a girl and you're reading this, you'll know how painful that must've been.
You would've thought that it was a life or death situation with how much analytical thought was going through my mind.
  • My hair is too dead
  • I was silver hair
  • No you don't Abbie, you just want to stop dying your hair
  • But I want to look like Perrie Edwards
  • I want white hair
  • I want to stop dying my hair altogether
  • I hate my roots
  • It costs too much money
Those were the thoughts battling each other in my mind and then finally, I gave up.
I had a long chat with my Sister and she basically told me that if I was going to get Silver hair, the only way to it would have been to bleach my hair. I don't know what scares me so much about bleaching but even thinking about it makes me cringe, I just couldn't do it.
So I just decided to go back to my normal hair colour and forget about the fantasy altogether. It would've been nice having silver hair but it just wasn't working. On some occasions I would be dying my hair 3 times a day therefore spending over £18 on hair dye alone. I was skint constantly and struggling to find money to go out with my friends because I was just constantly spending money on my hair.
I thought back to what my hair looked like before I had dyed it originally and decided to find a hair dye similar to how it would've looked and just dyed it that colour so I could finally leave it. I had to think quite far back because of how long I have been dying my hair for and after discussions with my Mum and Sister, looking at old photographs and analysing my root colour -  I think I finally found the right one.

So, this is what I look like right now!

Hooray for no more patchiness!!

As you should be able to tell from my post about trying to get silver hair, going this colour is a dramatic change for me so I didn't really take to it at first. The dye was supposed to be left on for 25 minutes at the most - I left it on for 5 minutes, washed it off and it came out looking exactly like it did on the box so you can pretty much guess how bright my hair was to begin with. I feel so much better with this hair colour and feel a lot more natural.

If I was to give any sort of advice to anyone reading this then it would go pretty much like this -

  • If you're wanting to achieve a specific shade of blonde, don't rely on box hair dyes. Go and get it done professionally
  • If you're wanting silver hair, don't rely on silver shampoo. Go and get it done professionally
  • NEVER dye your hair twice in one dye - Don't even dye it twice in one weekend because my hair is dead beyond return. I can wash my hair in the morning and have it be greasy before I go to sleep
  • If you are going to dye your hair then make sure you follow the instructions on the box carefully and don't think "It's fine, I know what I'm doing because I've dyed my hair before" because every hair dye solution is different
  • And of course, always do an allergy test on your skin 24 hours before you apply the dye just to be on the safe side!

If you have any questions about hair dye, the effects it has on your hair or if you've had bad experiences with hair dye yourself then leave them in the comments! Get involved :)

Review: Bleach London Silver Shampoo

As a teenager, you can pretty much guess that I've dyed my hair almost every colour under the sun. I've been red, blonde, brown, purple... You name it, I've probably been it! My obsession with hair dye came when I was about 14. I had the lightest shade of blonde naturally from a young age but as I got older, the colour got darker. When I was 14 my hair colour was practically brown and I absolutely hated it. Having a Sister that used to dye her hair every other weekend (not literally, but she did it a lot) was really what influenced me into giving hair colourant a try. I just wanted my blonde hair back.

After years and years of trying to get that perfect shade of blonde back that I previously had, I decided that it just wasn't going to work and that I needed to give up and change my direction.

After a growing obsession with Perrie Edwards had evolved during the beginning of last year, I stumbled across this picture of her on whilst scrolling through Tumblr and I fell in love with her hair.

After seeing several picture of Perrie with her silver hair, that became my new goal. I NEEDED silver hair.

The thought of having to bleach my hair genuinely scared me so I just decided to lighten my hair the furthest it would go with countless 'xtreme lightener' hair dyes as possible and then I would just pop silver shampoo on top of it and hope for the best.

After a year and a half of nothing working and living with patchy hair, I decided that if I wanted this to work, I would need to branch out to a brand that was a bit more pricey. That's where BLEACH London came in.

I had been a massive fan of One Direction for a long time and knew of Lou Teasdale and BLEACH since she became their hair stylist, but living in a small town made it hard for me to get my hands on any of the products.

Luckily, BLEACH announced that their products were going to be sold in Boots (Drugstore, UK) stores all over the UK and on my dinner break at work, I went to my local store and purchased their silver shampoo.

I had heard countless amazing reviews about this product and as my hair was a very pale yellow at the time, I decided to go for it straight away and cover my entire head. I left it on for 40 minutes approx and this is how it turned out.

As you can see, my hair turned out majorly patchy with the silver parts tinted purple which I didn't have a problem with BUT I was prefering my hair to be all one colour, so what did I do? I covered my hair in it again.

This time I actually forgot that it was on as I was watching the Commonwealth Games and ended up leaving it on for 2 hours (Ouch!!!) and this is how it turned out.

So, this picture is my result. My roots decided to stay the eact same pale yellow colour that they've always been but as you can see, the ends of my hair had a different idea. My hair did actually turn out purple and patchy instead of an all over silver tone. This was completely my fault for leaving it on for too long.

As for  the product, I think it's amazing. It smells really good and it does exactly what it promises - IF YOU USE IT CORRECTLY. I would recommend this product to anyone who is wanting to get rid of their brassy/yellow tones but I wouldn't recommend forgetting that you've actually got it on. Unless you want purple hair, of course.

If you're interested in purchasing any of the products from BLEACH and you live outside Europe then now you can! A fantastic website has been created for all of you desperate to try the products out at Bleach Worldwide. You can also follow them on Twitter at @bleachworldwide :)

Couple Of The Month: August Edition

My Sister and I had serious debates about whether this blog post would be successful on my blog as we both knew that I would end up picking the same couple every month. I've tried to promise myself that I will try and pick a different one each month but that may be a hard task if we're taking into account just how much I ADORE this months chosen couple!

Of course, my couple of the month is: Zerrie!

As a singleton, public displays of affection (PDA) is usually enough to make my stomach turn and make me tempted to book 2 weeks off work just to recover but with these two it's different.

If you didn't already know, 'Zerrie' is made up of Perrie Edwards from Little Mix and Zayn Malik from One Direction.

(I know there's a LOT of controversy about this couple concerning whether their relationship is legitimate or not and I know that a lot of people will get offended, annoyed etc. by this post and my views. What I write in this post are MY opinions and I'm not doing it to influence others so please, no hate)

When this couple became official, I didn't really pay much attention to them. I only really started to become more aware of their relationship when I slowly started becoming 'slightly' obsessed with Perrie. I went through a phase a few months ago where I would buy all of the clothes she had because I wanted to look like her. (Sad, I know) AND she's the reason I was persuaded to get my nose pierced. (Also sad, I know - I even have it pierced on the same side as her) So this is when I really started to like them together and started following their relationship.

I'm so excited for their wedding (currently still waiting for my invite in the post) and I'm so excited to see what the future holds for them. They're such a strong couple, clearly so in love and I wish them a lifetime of happiness together!

Do you like Zerrie? Who do you like the most, Zayn or Perrie? Who do you think Perrie is going to wear for the wedding? Let me know, get involved!

Favourite song?

Foster The People - Best Friend

This song is my favourite at the moment! I first heard it at work and it became one of those songs where I would get home and think "For god sake, where were the lyrics again?" Because obviously at work we aren't allowed our phones on the shop floor so I couldn't just Shazam it. OF COURSE I couldn't. Nothing is ever that easy.
But the other night I was sat on my bed and some of the lyrics came to me, I googled them and I've been listening to it on repeat ever since. (Baring in mind this was about 4 days ago)
I think this song is PERFECT for those days where you're sunbathing either in your garden, with your friends - Wherever you are! With a cold drink and your shades blocking out the sun. It had such a strong 'Summer' feel to it and I can't get enough.

What do you think of this song? Are you a fan of Foster The People? What are YOUR favourite summer tunes? Let me know!
